KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Adrian College men's rugby team put on another great weekend performance on Saturday, this time at the City 7's Tournament in Kansas City where the Bulldogs captured a third-place victory.
The Bulldogs opened their day with a huge 47-7 pool play win over Benedictine, followed by a 19-19 tie with Trine, setting themselves up for a semifinal contest with Iowa Central Community College.
Adrian unfortunately suffered a 17-14 defeat to ICCC, preventing them from competing for first place in back-to-back tournaments, but moving them along to the third place game.
To end the day, the Bulldogs clashed with Thomas More in the third-place match, eventually dominating the Saints by a 38-0 score to capture the third-place triumph.

The Adrian College men's rugby team will continue its spring 7's season next weekend in Virginia for the Sandman 7's hosted by Virginia Tech University on March 29.
