Men's Soccer to Wrap Up Five-Game Road Trip this Week

ADRIAN, Mich. - After working away from home for the last week and a half, the Adrian men's soccer team will be making its return to Docking Stadium by the end of the week.

The black and gold are near the end of a five-game road stint that has included two double-overtime contests and a pair of losses. In fact, the Bulldogs have been held scoreless over the last 242 minutes of action.

Adrian looks to turn its fortune around this week against a pair of Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) opponents in Mount Union and Otterbein.

The Raiders and the Cardinals enter the week with a combined record of 9-0-1, having allowed only five goals between the two.

The 'Dogs' open their week on Tuesday evening in Alliance, Ohio against Mount Union.

Currently riding a 380-minute shutout streak, the Raiders (4-0-1) are led defensively by the goalkeeping duo of Mikey Contreras and Tyler Venti, who boast a combined save-percentage of 0.900.

Offensively, Rylan Wikle, Colton Priester and Gavin Velazquez have each tallied two goals for Mount Union to pace the team's scoring.

As for Otterbein, who Adrian will host on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., the Cardinals (5-0) sport the third-highest scoring offense in the OAC, highlighted by the conference's leading scoring in Silver Abraham, who has five goals and one assist for 11 total points.

Otterbein has also seen major contributions from Will Isaac with three goals and two assists.

The locals (1-5-2) have garnered offense from a handful of their offense as ten different Bulldogs have tallied at least one goal or one assist.

Freshman, Dante Perri and junior, Justin Sarka actively lead Adrian with two goals each, while Gary Davison and Aaron Kennedy have secured one goal and one assist each.

Between the posts, sophomore, Alex Brock has racked up 45 saves in over 600 minutes of competition for the Bulldogs.

Live stats and live video will be available for both matches.
