ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 2 hockey team opened their season at home over the weekend with a clean sweep of Northern Michigan University, where both contests ended in 5-1 wins.
Freshman defenseman,
Hannah Berenson, potted her first three collegiate goals over the weekend, while junior forward,
Jordin Giove, also collected three of her own tallies.
Bria Hirschman,
Mary Robinson, Jasmine Reibel and
Avery Huxter closed out the rest of the scoring for the Bulldogs over the two-game set. Goaltenders,
Hannah Taylor (16 saves on 17 shots) and
Jules Johnson (32 saves on 33 shots), both earned wins in goal.
The WD2 Bulldogs will travel this upcoming weekend to play University of Michigan-Dearborn in a two-game set on Friday at 7:00 PM and Saturday at 3:00 PM.
