How It Happened
Throughout the first quarter of the match during the cold, rainy evening, neither team gained a sizable amount of momentum due to the slippery conditions of the field. In the early seconds of the seventeenth minute of the first half, Albion had a throw-in near Adrian's corner. An Albion forward managed to strike a shot outside the eighteen: The shot had deflected off of an Adrian defender and found its way into the bottom left of the Adrian net.
Later in the half, Albion capitalized on a free kick set play, just outside the goal box.
The Bulldog's closed out the first half with three shots (two on goal), but failed to score.
During the first fifteen minutes of the second half, the Bulldogs appeared significantly more aggressive compared to the half prior. At the 60:51 mark, Adrian had seven shots taken compared to its six total in the entire first half.
