Balanced Attack Cruises Bulldogs To 4-1 Victory Friday Night

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Adrian College women's hockey team started off the 2022-23 campaign with a 4-1 win over Oswego State Friday evening.

How It Happened

The Bulldogs had a balanced attack featuring goals from senior Kaleigh Cadorette, graduate student Jessica VonRuden, junior Callie Wollschlager, and junior Karmen Anderson

At the 10:10 mark of the first period, Cadorette captured the opening goal of the season for the Bulldogs off assists from Jocelin Hudanish and Maya Roy.

Later in the period, it would be VonRuden that joined the scoring festivities, securing the puck in the back of the net from an assist by Anderson.

During the 11:53 mark of the second period, Oswego would counter, scoring a goal of their own to make it 2-1. However, the one goal differential was short lived after Wollschlager scored a strike off an assist by Annika Hanson

The Bulldogs would close out the period with one more goal. This time instead of assisting, Anderson would deliver the puck into the back of the net.

Dating back to last season, the Bulldogs have won nine consecutive regular season games in a row. Including tonight's win, the Bulldogs have claimed a 4-2 advantage in the series with Oswego since the 2010-11 season.

Looking Ahead

The Bulldogs, looking to continue momentum from their season opening win tonight, will play the second game of their away weekend series tomorrow at Oswego State. Game time is scheduled for a 3 PM start.
