ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 2 hockey team suffered two losses to Lawrence Tech University over the weekend, by scores of 5-4 and 5-3.
 
In game one on Friday, the Bulldogs battled back and forth and outshot Lawrence Tech 62-30 but fell short in the contest. Graduate student forward Avery Huxter provided two goals while forward Jordin Giove had a goal and two assists. Forward Bria Hirschman had the other Bulldog goal. Sophomore goaltender Jennifer Grant made 25 saves in the effort.
 
Game two saw the Bulldogs fall short again, but not before graduate student forward Kathleen Droba secured a hat trick and all three Bulldog goals in the contest. Junior forward Jasmine Riebel finished the game with two assists.
 
The WD2 Bulldogs will take on Central Michigan University next weekend in a home and home series. Puck drop on Saturday in Mount Pleasant will be at 4:00 PM, with Sunday's puck drop at the Arrington Ice Arena at 1:00 PM.
