ADRIAN, Mich. –The Adrian College women's volleyball team saw their season end to Calvin after 3-0 loss in the MIAA Tournament semifinal Friday evening.
During Friday evening's contest against the Knights, Calvin had little trouble winning the first set. After the Bulldogs had cut the lead to four in the early moments of the game. Calvin burst to a 14 point lead and eventually won the first set.
In the second set of the game, the Bulldogs managed to record four kills and 2 blocks, however that wasn't enough as Calvin would win the set 25-11.
Later in the third set, Adrian would tally 4 kills, 2 blocks and 1 service ace.
The Bulldogs were led this evening by Amber Morris with 4 kills, and Hailey Farrell with 12 assists and 14 digs.
Tonight marked the fourth time since 2007 that the Bulldog's played in a MIAA Tournament semifinal match and the fifth time that the Bulldog's had advanced to the MIAA Tournament semifinal round. In 2008, the MIAA Tournament was canceled in the semis and onward due to a virus outbreak.
