ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team closed out their final home game of the 2022 calendar year with a 59-67 defeat to Defiance College, Tuesday evening.
How It Happened:
The Bulldogs had three players that ended the game in double figures. Tonight, the Bulldogs were led by junior
Julia Tierman, who contributed 16 points after shooting 50% from the field and 40% behind the arch tonight. Sophomore
Kylie Skidmore added on 14 points and six assists for the Bulldogs, after shooting a near perfect 10/11 at the free throw line. Freshman Ashyln Weatherly chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs as well, making it her third consecutive game scoring in double figures.
The Bulldogs were in a close one with Defiance throughout the first three quarters of the game, as neither team would gain a sizable advantage. At the end of three quarters of play, Defiance would lead by a total of two points heading into the fourth. In the last quarter of the game, the Bulldogs came up short and were outscored by Defiance 8-14 in the fourth quarter.
