SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- The Adrian College men's basketball team defeated Wittenberg 77-73 Tuesday evening behind Nick Seifert's career night.
Sophomore Nick Seifert scored a career high 22 points after a 7-9 performance from the field and an identical 7-9 split from the free throw line. Graduate student Kendall Bellamy also chipped in, scoring an efficient season high 14 points in 13 minutes on the way to the Bulldog victory.
As a team, the Bulldogs shot an efficient 6-13 from behind the three point line and totaled 46 points in the paint. The efficient night from behind the line allowed the Bulldogs to outscore Oberlin by 12 points in the second half. Additionally, the Bulldogs saw a massive boost from their bench production tonight, as Adrian's reserves outscored Wittenberg by a total of 17 points. Johnathan Duvall and
Josh Jordan led the bench tonight, each scoring 8 points.
