MOLINE, Ill. – Adrian College football alumni, Jerron McGaw has signed a contract with the Quad City Steamwheelers of the Indoor Football League (IFL). McGaw was a 2019 graduate of Adrian College where he played four seasons with the Bulldog football team as a wide receiver.
 
McGaw finished his collegiate career with 180 receptions for 2,974 receiving yards and 27 receiving touchdowns. McGaw ranks first all-time in career receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns in Adrian College history. He ranks third all-time in total touchdowns scored. He also ranks first and second in touchdown receptions in a single season, and first and third in receiving yards in a single season.
 
McGaw's highlighted game of his career came in his final season on September 8, 2018 where the Bulldogs defeated Buffalo State 56-27. McGaw finished the game with 13 receptions for 256 yards and five touchdown receptions.
 
"Jerron is a quick athlete with fantastic special awareness and football instincts," said Ryan Michael, Director of Player Personnel for the Steamwheelers. "Whether he's catching passes in traffic or creating separation on deep balls, he finds ways to make plays. I'm excited to see what he brings to camp."
 
The Steamwheelers are scheduled to play a 15-game season in 2023. Quad City will host seven home games while traveling on the road to play opponents in San Diego, California, Des Moines, Iowa, Green Bay, Wisconsin, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Worcester, Massachusetts, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The season opener is scheduled for Friday, March 17 at home in Moline, Illinois at Vibrant Arena at the Mark.
