Men's Basketball Ends Season in MIAA Tournament at Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. – The MIAA men's basketball postseason tournament opened up on Tuesday night as the No. 6 Bulldogs traveled to No. 3 Trine University. Before the game, the All-MIAA team was announced where Connor Pelham was recognized for Second Team honors. It was the final game of the season for the Bulldogs as Trine came away with a 92-63 victory.

The Bulldogs struggled in the first half heading into the halftime break down 51-35. Trine took an early 10-point lead at 14-4, but Adrian came back to make it a 26-22 game in favor of the Thunder. The Bulldogs brought the deficit to as little as three, but Trine went on a big run to grab the halftime lead.

De'Ovion Price led Adrian with ten first half points followed by eight from Kendall Chrismon who knocked down a pair of three-pointers. The Thunder shot 7-of-15 from deep in the first half and recorded 13 points off turnovers while Adrian recorded only four.

Things didn't get better for the Bulldogs in the second half as Trine continued to increase its lead and come away with the win. Coach Kaiser was able to get all of his seniors in the game on Tuesday night with Ben Pacer, Delano Smith, Dariyus Wooten, and Gio DiBari all coming off the bench.

Price led Adrian in scoring with 12 points followed by 11 from P'hariz Watkins. Andrew Larson finished with seven points and six rebounds to lead the team on the glass.

The Bulldogs finish the season with a 5-21 record with first-year head coach Tim Kaiser. Adrian will return to the court next November as they begin the 2022-23 season.
