DULUTH, Minn. -- The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association announced the 2021-22 All-Academic Team for both men and women. Members of the All-Academic Team must be a sophomore, junior, or senior and carry and overall GPA of 3.30 or higher. Fourteen members from the Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team and 16 members of the Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team made the list with multiple athletes returning to the list after past season accolades.
From the women's team, seniors
Jessica Anderson,
Julia Barrett,
Denisa Jandova, and
Jessica VonRuden picked up the academic honor all for the third time in their careers. Juniors
Une Bjelland,
Sophie Goldberg, and
Reaghan Pietrowski were also on the list with Bjelland and Pietrowski making it for the second time in their careers while Goldberg makes it for her first. Sophomores
Karmen Anderson,
Emma Corbett,
Annika Hanson,
Jocelin Hudanish,
Maya Roy,
Kathryn Truban, and
Callie Wollschlager each made it for the first time in their careers.
On the men's side,
Matt Eller,
Alessio Luciani, and
Sam Ruffin pick up the academic honor for the third time to lead the men's team. Senior
Grant Baetsen and junior
Nic Tallarico were name for a second year followed by a multitude of newcomers. For the first time in their career,
Ayodele Adeniye,
Ryan Butler,
Ty Enns,
Zach Goberis,
Zachary Heintz,
John Kaljian,
Dominic Loubert,
Jaden Shields,
Chase Spencer,
Matus Spodniak, and
Dershahn Stewart recorded the award.
The 14 on the women's side ranked the fourth most out of the nine NCHA schools while the 16 on the men's side ranked fourth out of the ten men's NCHA schools.
