ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Adrian College men's tennis team competed in day two of its trip to Florida on Wednesday with a doubleheader against Houghton College and Regis College. The Bulldogs began the day early in the morning with a 6-3 win over Houghton before falling just short to Regis in a 5-4 loss.

Zachary Perry and
Joey Quigley won 8-6 at No. 1 Doubles while
Whitman Hopper and
Sebastian Cowan took home an 8-7 victory at No. 2.
Ryan Cuddy and
Jackson Wilcox pair up at No. 3 Doubles coming away with an 8-2 victory to finish the sweep.
Cowan grabbed a win at No. 2 Singles with a tie breaker to add a point for the team while
Joey Quigley won 6-3 and 6-1 at No. 4 Singles, and
Darren Walter won 7-6 and 6-4 at No. 6 Singles.Â
In the second match of the day where Adrian took on Regis, Cuddy and Wilcox grabbed the only doubles win with another 8-2 victory at No. 3.
Cowan grabbed another singles win at No. 2 defeating his opponent 6-3 and 6-4. Hopper picked up a win at No. 5 Singles with scores of 6-0 and 6-1 while Walter added another victory at No. 6 with wins of 6-1 and 6-3.Â
After a 2-1 lead in favor of Regis after Doubles, and a 3-3 split in Singles, Regis took home the victory late Wednesday evening.
The Bulldogs wrap up the trip to Florida tomorrow morning as they take on Wartburg College from Iowa at 9:00 AM at the USTA National Training Center.
