MOUNT BERRY, Ga. -- The Adrian College baseball team continued its trip down south with day one at Berry College. The Bulldogs led early in the game, but a big inning for Berry put Adrian behind. The Bulldogs made it a close one, but couldn't overcome the deficit and lost 13-7.
Berry struck first with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second off Adrian pitch

Thomas Miller hit a bases clearing triple to go up 3-2. Berry responded with a big six run inning in the bottom of the third to go up 8-3. The Bulldogs took advantage of fielding errors by Berry scoring two unearned runs in the fourth to make it 8-5. Another error from Berry came in the sixth score another pair of runs to put the Bulldogs within one.
Berry took back the momentum by scoring two in the sixth and three in the eighth to come away with the victory.
Gutierrez got the start going two innings for Adrian.
Garrett Lussier picked up the loss with two innings pitch allowing six runs with only three earned.
Luc St. Antoine and
Tripp Russo made relief appearances for Adrian.
Adrian is back at it tomorrow as they take on Greensboro College at Berry at 4:30 PM.
