ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's lacrosse team honored its senior class of 2022 prior to Saturday's game against Albion College. The Bulldogs recognized

Trevor Burke prior to Saturday's game. The Bulldogs went on to fall to Albion at home by a score of 18-8 to pick up the team's second conference loss of the season.
Albion led 6-1 after the first quarter. The Britons struck first to lead 1-0, but
Michael Jonas netted a goal to tie the game. Albion went on to score the next five goals and hold the early lead. In the second quarter,
Peyton Gasche netted a goal to trail 6-2. Albion went on to score back-to-back man-up goals in the second quarter to extend the lead, but
Chris French grabbed a man-down goal to make it 8-3. Albion score two goals before the half ended and led 10-3 at the break.
Albion came out hot in the third scoring the first five goals of the half to lead 15-3. The Bulldogs offense got to work and score three unanswered goals. French netted a pair of goals while Jonas scored a goal himself to put Adrian down 15-6 after three. Albion scored the first goal of the fourth, but it was answered by back-to-back goals by Jonas. Unfortunately, Adrian went on to score the final two goals of the game and come away with an 18-8 victory.
Sam Spangler suffered his four loss of the season as he recorded 17 saves in goal during 60 minutes of play. Leventis won 17 out of the 27 face offs he took and grabbed 13 ground balls.
With Calvin defeating Alma in MIAA conference play, the Bulldogs have locked in a MIAA Tournament spot. The Bulldogs will wrap its regular season on Tuesday, April 26 on the road at Trine University looking to lock down the No. 3 seed for the conference tournament. Tuesday's opening face off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
