ALBION, Mich. – The 2022 Adrian College men's lacrosse season came to an end on Wednesday night in the MIAA Tournament semifinal round. Adrian started the second quarter strong as the momentum fell their way. Peyton Gasche scored a goal on an assist from Max Leventis off the opening face off for the quarter. Brett Koczenasz netted a goal to make it 5-3 on a pass from Michael Jonas which was followed by French's second goal of the game to make it 5-4. Albion responded to jump up 9-4 with four unanswered goals, but before the half ended, Riley Edwards scored to trail 9-5 at the half.

It was a defensive battle in the second half with only a total of our goals scored the rest of the way. Almost made it 10-5 earlier in the third quarter, but Brandon Hoerauf added a goal to respond. With 40 seconds left in the third, Gasche scored an unassisted goal to make it 10-7 heading into the final quarter.

It was a quiet fourth quarter with Albion netting the only goal with 10:33 to go to make it an 11-7 game which was enough to hold on and advance Albion to the MIAA Championship.

Leventis finished the game 15-of-22 from the face off dot with 14 ground balls. Cameron Reed led the team with three caused turnovers to go with four ground balls. Sam Spangler finished the day with 11 saves in the cage for Adrian.
