ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's rugby team ended its inaugural season on Sunday hosting the Adrian 7's Tournament. The Bulldogs hosted the Michigan Renegades, Davenport University, and Ohio University. Due to not being able to field a full team, the Michigan Renegades were the only team not to play the Bulldogs.

Adrian started the day against Ohio University. The Bulldogs exploded and went on to win 46-0. The next contest was against Davenport University to continue pool play. The Bulldogs and Davenport battled in the first half with Adrian leading 12-7 at the break. Davenport came back to top the Bulldogs by a score of 19-17.

Adrian was scheduled with a rematch against Davenport as they sat as the top two teams after pool play. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, Davenport was stronger in the championship game defeating the black and golf by a score of 31-14 to win the tournament and hand the Bulldogs a second place finish.

Adrian will return in the fall when they compete in the 15v15 season as they look to make another run at a National Championship.
