ADRIAN, Mich. – On Wednesday morning, the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League revealed its All-Academic teams for the 2022 and 2021 seasons, featuring five active members of the Adrian men's volleyball team, as well as three graduates from this past spring and one individual graduate from the 2021 campaign.
To be considered for the league's All-Academic team, an athlete must obtain at least a 3.30 grade-point average in the classroom, and garner a varsity letter.
Senior Jacob Witt (Criminal Justice), and sophomores
Andrew Gawrisch (Undecided),
Chase Heuer (Exercise Science) and Sam Williams (Athletic Training) were listed as All-Academic recipients for both years, while freshmen
David Barona (Finance) and
Beck Fieldhouse (Undecided), and seniors
Tedrick Gula (Accounting) and
Brandon Ravelo (Public Relations) garnered the accolade for the 2022 campaign.
Also among the conference's scholar all-stars was former Bulldog
Kolby Miller, who graduated after the 2021 season with a degree in business.
All told, Adrian held the third-most student-athletes on the All-Academic team for 2022, trailing only Trine and Fontbonne.
