MARSHALL, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's golf team began its season with a two-day tournament hosted by Olivet on Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs were supposed to play in a tournament last weekend over Labor Day, but were canceled due to poor weather conditions. In the Kyle Campbell Invitational this weekend, Adrian finished third out of 16 teams with a two-day score of 662.
Riley Kleck led the team on day one with an 83. She went on to shoot an 84 on day two to finish with a two-day total of 167.
Olivia Ohmer shot an 84 on Friday which was followed up by a 78 on Saturday to lead Adrian with a two-day total of 162.
Taylor Ross recorded a two-day total of 168 after back-to-back rounds finishing with an 84.
Lauren Reed opened the tournament with a 90 on Friday, but turned things around on Saturday finishing the day with a 79.
Ashlynn Challand recorded a two-day total of 178 to round out Adrian's starting five.
Sara Bevington played as an individual recording a 90 in back-to-back rounds.
Adrian's next competition will be the start of MIAA play with the first Jamboree of the fall hosted by Saint Mary's on Wednesday, September 14 starting at 1:00 PM.
