CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced the most recent Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll. This was the second poll of the season, and for the first time in program history, the Adrian College women's golf team has received votes.
The Bulldogs have not cracked into the top-25, but have received three voting points.
Adrian is coming off its second MIAA Jamboree victory from the weekend where they broke a school record and shot a 308. The Bulldogs are led by
Olivia Ohmer who currently sits in first place as an individual in the MIAA.
Lauren Reed led the team in the third MIAA Jamboree hosted by Alma College after shooting a 75. Ohmer shot a 76 for Adrian along with
Riley Kleck shooting 76. Talylor Ross and
Sara Bevington completed the starting five each shooting 81.
Saint Mary's finished second at the weekend Jamboree with a 315 allowing Adrian to extend its conference lead. The Bulldogs trailed Saint Mary's after the first Jamboree by seven strokes, but won Jamboree #2 at home by 14 stroke to take the lead. With the win over the weekend, Adrian is now in first by 14 stroke and averages 314.67 in MIAA play.
Adrian's next competition is at MIAA Jamboree #4 hosted by Olivet College at Medalist Golf Club on Thursday, September 29 at 1:00 PM.
