GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's soccer team traveled to Grand Rapids on Thursday night to take on Grace Christian in a non-conference match up. Things didn't go the way the Bulldogs hoped as they dropped the contest 4-0.
Grace Christian got on the board in the 35th minute to lead 1-0. Adrian recorded six shots in the first half with three attempts on corner kicks, but couldn't find the netting.
Grace Christian scored quickly to start the second half to lead 2-0 which was followed by goals in the 47th minute and 70th minute. The Bulldogs out-shot Grace Christian in the second half 8-7, but struggled to score.
The Bulldogs finished the day with 14 shots with eight on goal.
Justin Sarka put two of his three shots on goal while
Colin Charnock put all three of his shots on goal coming off the bench.
Jackson Vacca got the start in goal and made three saves.
The Bulldogs begin conference play next week when they host Hope College on Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 PM.
