ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team loses to Albion College in a five-set heartbreaker, 3-2. Adrian bounced out to an early 2-0 set lead but ended up falling short in the final three sets.
The Bulldogs won set one and two, 25-20 and 25-23. The Britons turned it around and took the final three sets winning, 25-20, 25-21, and 15-9.
Leading Adrian on the offensive side was
Amber Morris with 18 kills and right behind her was
Mallory Dorow adding 17 kills.
Grace Croci totaled seven and
Ariel Gibson had six of her own.
Hailey Farrell totaled 45 assists through the five sets with
Mya Minjares adding four.
Lana Cox added two service aces.
The Bulldogs had five players with double digit digs, leading was Minjares with 25.
Hannah Sugg and Morris each had 20 while Farrell and Cox each totaled 15 digs a piece. Gibson contributed seven blocks while
Kayla Chan and Croci both added five blocks of their own.
Adrian will look to bounce back in conference play against Kalamazoo inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center at 7:00 PM on October 18
