ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's soccer team hosted the first round of the MIAA tournament inside Docking stadium against the fifth seed Britons of Albion College on Saturday night. Adrian went on to lose the first round, 2-1.
 
In the first half of the game the score was tied up, 1-1. Leah Homan scored Adrian's lone goal of the first half at the 7:54 mark. A back-and-forth contest early on with both teams trying to control the time of possession. At the 10:07 mark, a handball was called on the Bulldogs inside the penalty box allowing Albion to try a penalty kick. Albion succeeded on the penalty try to tie the game back up, 1-1. Adrian led both teams with seven shots on goal to Albion's five. The Britons had one corner kick and the Bulldogs ended the first half with two of their own.
 
In the second half, the Bulldogs battled but could not connect on any shots on goal. Albion took advantage at the 46th minute mark when the Britons scored their second goal of the game to make the score 2-1. Adrian led in shots with seven in the second half to Albion's three, but two shots off the top crossbar of the goal was as close as they got.
 
Homan with the lone goal for the Bulldogs, Josie Huber with five shots and two on goal, and Kelsey Zoli added six shots with one on goal to lead Adrian in their last game of the season.
 
In goal, Gabrielle Fallon Revels only recorded one save on the night.
 
Adrian ended the season with an 8-6-3 record in Nathan Kronewetter's first season as the head coach.
