ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 2 hockey team opened its season with two dominating wins over Notre Dame University, winning 5-1 on the road, and 8-2 at home.
The Bulldogs received goals from
Claire Ames,
Ava Seychel,
Jordin Giove,
Jasmine Riebel, and
Devon Cavaliere in the opening win on Saturday evening, while goaltender
Emily Tracht earned the victory in goal.
The Bulldogs clashed with the Irish again on Sunday afternoon, receiving goals from Cavaliere, Giove x2,
Ashlee Chartrand,
Madison Grimm,
Lily Storer,
Bria Hirschman, and Riebel. Goaltender,
Jennifer Grant, made 21 saves on 23 shots to earn the win in goal.
The WD2 Bulldogs will travel to Sault St. Marie, Canada this coming weekend to face off against Sault College for a two-game series. Puck drops are 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.
