HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced the 2023 All-MIAA selections for football on Tuesday afternoon. The Adrian College football team landed two All-Conference picks including one First Team member and one Second Team member.
Senior offensive lineman
Jonathan Sasiela (Milford, Mich. / Detroit Catholic Central) was named First Team All-MIAA. Sasiela becomes a three-time All-Conference selection in 2023 and was the leader on the offensive line for the Bulldogs starting in all ten games. With the help of Sasiela's blocking on the offensive line, the Bulldogs averaged 126.4 yards rushing per game and 184.4 passing yards per game.
On defense, sophomore
Ryker Bidwell (Estero, Fla. / Bonita Springs) earned Second Team All-MIAA honors. The linebacker led the Bulldogs with 117 total tackles with five tackles for loss. He recorded two interceptions on the season to go with a pair of QB hurries. Bidwell started in all ten games on the season and also contributed a touchdown for Adrian.
With the addition of Sasiela and Bidwell, the Adrian College football program has totaled 408 All-MIAA selections since the program's first selection in 1940. The Bulldogs will return in the fall of 2024 looking to expand on the 2023 season.
