BEXLEY, Ohio – The Adrian College men's basketball team traveled to Capital University on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs would put up a good fight, but could not hold on down the stretch losing, 87-74.
In the first half, it was a back-and-forth start. Adrian would take a nine-point lead half way through the first half. Capital would slowly fight back and regain and keep the lead going into halftime, 43-41. Adrian shot the ball well, shooting 53.33% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc compared to 51.72 % from the floor for Capital as well as 44.44% from three.
In the second half, Capital would come out and bury a three-pointer from the jump and would lead the rest of the way with their largest lead being 24 points. Adrian would end the day shooting 50.9% from the field and 38.1% from the three-point line. Adrian totaled 19 turnovers to Capital's 16 turnovers.
To lead the Bulldogs, was
Kendall Chrismon with 24 points going 6-10 from three.
Josh Jordan ended the game with 11 points and
Nick Seifert would add 10. Seifert led with five rebounds while
DJ Morrow and
Braylon Dickerson each grabbed four.
Reed Schilling led Adrian with three assists.
Adrian will compete at against Siena Heights University at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21.
