ADRIAN, Mich. -- The No. 8 Adrian College NCAA Women's Hockey team took down the Oswego State Lakers at home on Friday night, winning 2-1.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring early on a goal from
Paige Pomerleau, assisted by
Karmen Anderson and
Une Bjelland. The home team team then followed it up later in the period with a shorthanded tally by
Jocelin Hudanish, also assisted by Bjelland.
The Lakers would answer back on a set play in the second period, to bring the game to 2-1. Although, Adrian goaltender
Michaela O'Brien shut the door to keep the Bulldogs ahead and secure the home victory.
Shots on goal in the game were 29-18 in favor of Adrian, with Bjelland leading the team with five of her own.
The Bulldogs and Lakers will be back at it tomorrow at the Arrington Ice Arena at 1:00 PM to close out the series.Â
