Men's Basketball Win First Game of the Season with a 21-point Victory over Hiram

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team hosted Hiram College this Monday evening. The Bulldogs would explode in the second half to earn their first victory of the season, 79-58.
 
In the first half of play, Josh Jordan would get the Bulldogs rolling with a layup to start the game. A back and forth first ten minutes had the score all tied up at 13. Later in the half Adrian would go on a 10-0 run to go up 29-19 with around three minutes to play. Adrian would end the half with the lead, 31-26. The Bulldogs would shoot 15-26 (57.69%) from the floor and shoot 25% from beyond the three-point line.
 
To start the second half Hiram would go on a little run of their own to get the score back tied up at 31 apiece. Adrian would hold strong and never lose the lead the rest of the way. Around the 12-minute mark Adrian would go on a 11-2 run to get the lead back up to 11 points. Michael Rightnowar would hit a corner three with just under a minute to play to go up 21, the largest lead of the game. The men's basketball team would take home the win, 79-58. Adrian would shoot 34-57 from the floor shooting 59.6% while going 6-14 from deep.
 
Freshman DJ Morrow and Braylon Dickerson would lead the Bulldogs in scoring on the night. Morrow would shoot 75% from the floor and score a game-high 21 points while Dickerson would rattle off 17 of his own as well as grab six rebounds. Nick Seifert would tally eight points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Kendall Chrismon would score eight points as well as dish out a team-high five assists and pull down five rebounds throughout the forty-minutes of play.

Adrian will come back from break and be on the road at the Smokey Ballenger Classic on December 29 at 7:00 PM where the will play the host, Otterbein University.
