The Bulldogs would lead by as much as three and would trail by as much as five during the second set. Neither team gained a sizable advantage over one other in the first half of the set as both teams were tied at 13 all. The men's volleyball team would slightly pull away and took a 17-14 lead over Edgewood by capitalizing on an attacking error. Over the next few minutes, both teams would exchange points. Beck Fieldhouse would tie the set up at 27 all and Fieldhouse would counter to Edgewood's response to knot the game back up at 28 apiece. However, Edgewood would close out the set on a 2-0 run to take the victory over the Bulldogs.
