GENEVA, Ill. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team completed its series on the road with Aurora University. After winning last night with 0.1 seconds to go in the game, Aurora flipped the script and took the Saturday win over the Bulldogs, 5-1.
The Bulldogs trailed early in the first period 1-0. Later in the period,
Zoe Lohrei put Adrian on the board to tie the game 1-1. Less than a minute later in the period, Aurora scored to take a 2-1 lead into the intermission.
Aurora added another goal in the second period followed by two more in the third. Adrian struggled to score with Lohrei's goal being the only one for the Bulldogs.
Sophie Goldberg got the start for Adrian in goal totaling 26 saves on the afternoon.
The Bulldogs will wrap up the regular season on the road at St. Norbert College next weekend with the series beginning on Friday night at 8:00 PM EST.
