OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC. – The Adrian College women's golf team began the 2023 spring season on Monday and Tuesday with a two-day tournament hosted by Pfeiffer University. The Bulldogs played two teams in the 13-team tournament with the "A" team placing first and the "B" team finishing tenth.
Riley Kleck led the Bulldogs with a 161 over the two days. On Monday she shot an 82 which she followed with a 79 on Tuesday. Kleck finished third overall as in individual.
Taylor Ross finished fifth as an individual with a 161. On Monday she shot an 80 and later shot an 83 on Tuesday.
Lauren Reed finished the tournament with a two-day total of 170 while
Sara Bevington shot 172.
Olivia Ohmer rounded out the starting five with a 175.
On Adrian's second team,
Ella Mason led the team with a 180. She totaled an 86 on Monday and a 94 on Tuesday.
Ashlynn Challand shot a 90 and 91 during the two days followed by
Hannah Mason with a 95 and a 100.
Katie Bukovsky finished with a 99 and a 101 while Haisley Turnquist shot 110 and 114.
Adrian will have a couple of weeks off before heading to Williamsburg, Virginia to play in The Ruckus hosted by Premier College Tournament. The Ruckus is a two-day tournament scheduled to take place March 18-19 at Williamsburg National.
