ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College baseball team bounced back on Tuesday afternoon sweeping a doubleheader against Ohio Wesleyan. The Bulldogs and the Bishops played two 7-inning games on Tuesday at Nicolay Field. The Bulldogs took game one by a score of 6-3 and game two 4-3.
 
GAME 1

• Edward Wagner drove in the first run of the game on an RBI single up the middle to lead 1-0 in the first.
• In the second inning, Jakob Charles doubled down the right field line driving in a pair of runs to lead 3-0.
• In the third, Jack Boike scored on a fielder's choice which ended up bringing in a run on an error from Ohio Wesleyan. Later in the inning, Don Goodes drove in a run on a sacrifice fly to lead 5-0.
• Ohio Wesleyan scored three in the fourth inning to make it 5-3.
• In the fifth inning, Goodes singled in a run to bring the score to 6-3.
• Griffin Firestine picked up his first win of the season after throwing five innings allowing three runs on six hits with four strikeouts.
• Gage Ricker pitched in relief while Ryan Davis closed the game out with a save.

GAME 2

• Goodes drove in the first run of the ballgame with a sacrifice fly to grab the early lead.
• In the third, Wagner singled in a run which led to an Ohio Wesleyan error scoring a pair of runs for Adrian to lead 4-0.
• Ohio Wesleyan homered in the sixth inning to make it 4-1 followed by a 2-RBI double in the seventh to make it 4-3.
• Jaxon Clark went six innings on the mound for Adrian picking up his first win of the season on six innings pitched allowing one run on three hits with five strikeouts. Davis came in to relieve Jake Charles to started the seventh and picked up a two-pitch save.

The Bulldogs will head out on the road tomorrow afternoon with a rematch with Denison University scheduled to start at 4:00 PM.
