TECUMSEH, Mich. – The Adrian College women's golf team continued the MIAA Automatic Qualifier on Friday afternoon at the Tecumseh Golf Club where the Bulldogs are serving as host for the final two rounds. Entering the second round, the Bulldogs sat in second place by one stroke. With the help of a program record score of 307, Adrian has grabbed a six-stroke lead on Saint Mary's College.
Sara Bevington led the way for Adrian on Friday afternoon where she tied for first place shooting a 75.
Lauren Reed tied for third in the field after shooting a 76 followed by
Olivia Ohmer in fifth with a 77.
Taylor Ross finished sixth in the field with a 79 followed by
Riley Kleck with an 84 to round out the Adrian starting five.
Adrian played a second team on Friday who totaled a 379.
Ashlynn Challand led the way shooting 89 followed by a 95 from
Ella Mason and a 95 from
Hannah Mason.
Katie Bukovsky finished with a score of 100 followed by
Haisley Turnquist at 113.
Adrian currently sits in first place in the MIAA Automatic Qualifier scoring with a score of 620. Saint Mary's holds the second place spot at 626 followed by Hope College in third at 648 and Alma College in fourth at 702.
The Bulldogs will look to grab another win tomorrow in the final round of the Automatic Qualifier and punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. The third and final round of the MIAA Automatic Qualifier will tee off Saturday, April 15 at 11:00 AM from the Tecumseh Golf Club.
