ROCK ISLAND, IL – The Adrian College women's volleyball team is competing in the Viking Classic this Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs opened the weekend up against Augustana College (IL) before playing against Clarkson University.
Adrian was taken down 3-0 in straight sets. Adrian lost set one 28-26, set two 25-20, and set three 25-19.
Amber Morris led the Bulldogs with 12 kills, right behind was
Lana Cox with ten and
Grace Croci with seven.
Mya Minjares led defensively with 26 digs, followed by Morris with 19 and Cox with 16.
Hailey Farrell totaled 32 assists and 11 digs of her own.
Adrian turned things around in game two of the Viking Classic winning 3-0 in straight sets. The Bulldogs won 25-21, 25-13, and 25-22.
Croci added eight kills while Morris with seven and
Kayla Chan and
Megan Feldmann both with six. Minjares and Farrell both had 15 digs, followed by Morris and Cox both with 12. Farrell totaled 23 assists.
The Bulldogs will be right back in action tomorrow as they face Grinnell College in their last match of the Viking Classic starting at 12:00 PM.
