Women’s Lacrosse Names Kendrick Scherer Assistant Coach

Head women's lacrosse coach, Amanda Asher announced the hiring of Kendrick Scherer as assistant coach of the Adrian College women's lacrosse team. Scherer is a graduate of Clarke University where he played lacrosse at the collegiate level.

Kendrick Scherer began his collegiate lacrosse career at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa in 2019. He was named team captain every season he competed in and was named Team MVP in the spring of 2021.

Scherer started his coaching career in the spring of 2019 for a local club team where he was the coach of Dominate Lacrosse out of Novi, Michigan. He then was a coach of Glenbard North High School out of Carol Stream, Illinois. While coaching he was able to assist in the development of players and strategic game planning.

"I would like to thank Coach Asher for giving me this opportunity to be on the coaching staff for the women's lacrosse program. She has been extremely upfront and welcoming to me and has expressed great things about the team. I am excited to influence and create a positive environment for this lacrosse program here at AC."

Scherer will begin his coaching responsibilities as he will help prepare for a successful 2024 spring season.
