DEFIANCE, OH – The Adrian College women's soccer team played at Defiance College on Wednesday afternoon. It was not long before they became 10-0 victors. The 10 goals scored broke the record of most goals in a game as well as shots in a single game with 50, breaking the previous record of 41.
In the first half, Adrian got out to an early 4-0 lead within the first 25 minutes of action.
Annamarie Fosmoen added to her season total with three more goals and
Leah Homan added one. The Bulldogs ended the half with a 6-0 lead, adding two more goals was
Kelsey Zoli and Homan once again.
Rylea Mougrabi kept the pressure on by scoring the first goal of the second half at the 55
th minute mark.
Bri Aikens landed a goal shortly after in the 57
th minute while Mougrabi and Homan each added another goal of their own to take care of the Yellow Jackets 10-0.
Victoria Pilon and Mougrabi each added an assist for the day.
The Adrian defense was top-notch by allowing only one shot the entire game.
Fosmoen and Homan are now both tied for 3
rd with three individual goals in a single game.
The Bulldogs look to stay in attack mode against Baldwin Wallace on Saturday at 7 PM EST inside Docking Stadium.
