ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team honored its senior class before Saturday's series finale against the University of Dubuque. The Bulldogs went on to defeat the Spartans 6-0.
Adrian held a 1-0 lead after the first period on a power play goal from
Zachary Heintz. The Bulldogs added two more goals in the second period on a breakaway goal from
Casey Gerstein and a shorthanded goal from
Mathew Rehding. Adrian kept its foot on the gas pedal scoring three more goals in the third period.
Jacob Suede scored early in the period to lead 4-0 followed by goals from
John Kaljian and
Ryan Vellucci.
Heintz, Suede, and Rehding added an assist to their goal on the afternoon for a multi-point game while
Jaden Shields and
Matt Couto each picked up a pair of assists.
Dershahn Stewart started in goal for the Bulldogs where he finished the day with 13 saves.

The Bulldogs will return to action on the the road at St. Norbert College next weekend for a two-game series with the Green Knights on Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs will begin the series with an 8:00 PM EST. puck drop on Friday night.
