ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's soccer team downed The University of Olivet on Saturday night at Docking Stadium in a one-sided contest, with the Bulldogs prevailing, 5-0, thanks to a four-goal performance from
Annamarie Fosmoen.
Fosmoen opened the scoring for Adrian in the twelfth minute off a slick pass from
Kelsey Zoli. Later in the half, Fosmoen tallied again off another beautiful passing play from Zoli. At half, the Bulldogs led 2-0.
Adrian and Fosmoen continued to press the Comets in the second half, with the Bulldog attacker completing her hat-trick in the sixty-second minute off a pass from
Sydney Anderson. Zoli then potted her third of the season in the sixty-ninth minute, with assists going to
Emma Dalzochio and
Sam DeCeuninck. Just over sixty seconds later, Fosmoen buried her fourth of the match and ninth of the season to make it 5-0 and seal the deal.
Adrian goalkeeper,
Gabrielle Fallon Revels, made two saves in the home victory for her squad as the Bulldogs out-shot the Comets, 18-4.
The women's soccer team improves to 3-0-1 in MIAA conference play and will take on Hope College on October 22 at 5:00 PM on the road.
