ERIE, Pa. -- The Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 2 hockey team competed at the Mercyhurst University Showcase this past weekend in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Bulldogs played three games over three days, winning their first, tying their second, and losing their third.
Adrian opened with its first win of the season over Robert Morris University on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs, who were 1-0 victors, received their lone goal from
Ella Zebley, while
Jordan Hunt shut the door in net, making 32 saves for the shutout.
In game two, the Bulldogs hit the ice against Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon, going the distance through regulation and overtime to end in a 2-2 tie.
Lily Storer and
Anna Victoria Blaski scored the Adrian goals in the contest. Hunt turned aside 33 shots in the draw.
The Bulldogs clashed with Niagara University on Sunday to close the weekend, though came up short to the Purple Eagles, 5-3.
The WD2 Bulldogs will host Bowling Green on November 10 at 1:00 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena.
