ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College cornhole team hosted its first American Cornhole League (ACL) Regional over the weekend. The winners of each bracket earned a bid to the ACL College National Championship in January in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The day started with the Singles Event Bracket in which
Jackson Newman led the team with three wins in the singles bracket.
Abigail Trepkowski and
Gage McMillan picked up two wins in the doubles bracket for Adrian.
The best finish for the Bulldogs was a second-place spot in the Team Event. The Team Event consisted of two singles match and one doubles match with each victory counting as a team point. The group of
Morgan Blonde,
Alex Weaver, Trepkowski, and McMillan placed second.
Blonde finished the day with the second highest PPR with 9.4 out of 22 throwers. Weaver finished the day with a PPR of 8.88 finishing fifth.
Adrian's next tournament is Saturday, November 2 when they travel to Rock Hill, S.C. for another ACL College Cornhole Tournament.
