CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Adrian College cornhole team wrapped up its 2025-26 season over the weekend by competing in its final ACL Open of the year in Cleveland. The Bulldogs took part in both collegiate and open singles and doubles brackets to close out the campaign.
In the Collegiate Singles bracket, Adrian had an uncharacteristically quiet weekend, with Ethan Freeman and Alex Weaver both tying for seventh place.
The Bulldogs bounced back in the Collegiate Doubles bracket, where Alex Weaver and Abigail Trepkowski captured first place, while Jackson Newman and Mason Foote added a third-place finish.
In the Open Doubles division, Adrian competed against a strong field of 313 teams. Weaver and Trepkowski posted a 4-2 record in rounders to advance to the Tier 1 bracket, finishing ranked 70th overall. Freeman also competed in Open Doubles as a solo player, finishing 4-2 and placing 61st.
In Open Singles competition, Weaver again found success, going 4-2 in Tier 1 play to earn a ninth-place finish. Abbie Sawicki also turned in a strong performance, finishing 2-2 and placing ninth in Tier 3.
The Cleveland Open marked the conclusion of the 2025-26 season for the Adrian College cornhole team. The Bulldogs will return to action in the fall, competing in ACL Opens and Collegiate Tournaments as they aim to qualify for the ACL National Championships.
