BLUFFTON, OHIO. – The Adrian College men's basketball team clinched a thrilling last-second victory against Bluffton University on Sunday afternoon, securing their first win of the season in dramatic fashion.
The Bulldogs struggled to find their rhythm early, managing just 26 points on 31% shooting in the first half. Despite sinking three shots from beyond the arc on 13 attempts, they trailed by seven at halftime.
Sophomore Braylon Dickerson stepped up in a big way, leading the Bulldogs with a team-high 16 points, adding four rebounds, three blocks, and two assists. Senior center Josh Jordan dominated the paint, recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Adrian stormed back in the second half, outscoring Bluffton 44-36. They excelled in key areas, leading in points off turnovers, second-chance points, and scoring in the paint. The Bulldogs also had five players in double figures
In the final three minutes, the game turned into a nail-biting back-and-forth battle. Dickerson delivered a crucial block, setting up the Bulldogs for one last possession. After a missed corner shot, senior Emcee Williams rose to the occasion, grabbing a clutch rebound and nailing a fadeaway jumper inside the paint as the buzzer sounded, sealing the win for Adrian College in unforgettable fashion.
Adrian will be back in action on Wednesday as they host Ohio Northern University, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM.
