HAMILTON, Ohio – The Adrian College cornhole team competed in a three-day Open hosted by the American Cornhole League (ACL). The Bulldogs competed in multiple brackets each filled with 30-50 teams/individuals.
Alex Weaver and Abigail Trepkwoski placed fourth in the College Doubles Bracket to start the weekend on Friday. On Saturday, the duos of Weaver and Trepkowski along with
Gage McMillan and
Mason Foote finished 4-2 in the Tier 1 Doubles Bracket.
Blaine Proefke and
Jackson Newman went 3-3 in the Tier 2 Doubles Bracket while
Juan Alvarez and Abbie Sawicki finished 1-5 in the Tier 3 Bracket.
On Sunday, eight Bulldogs competed in a variety of Singles Brackets. McMillan and Weaver played in the Advanced Bracket where Weaver led the way finishing 33
rd. Trepkowski, Newman, and Foote competed in the Competitive Bracket where Trepkowski led the way with a 13
th place finish. Alvarez, Proefke, and Sawicki played in the Intermediate Bracket where Alvarez placed 13
th to lead Adrian.
Adrian's next event will take place in Whitewater, Wisconsin on November 23 where the Bulldogs will look to win more bids to the National Championship in South Carolina.
