ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's Soccer team has hired a new Assistant Coach in Robert Montanaro.
Montanaro comes from Boston, Massachusetts and brings a mountain of coaching and playing experience to the Adrian Men's Soccer program, as well as a very diverse background, having been around the world as a coach and player. He received his Bachelors degree in Sociology from Bates College and received his Masters degree from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
Robert has numerous years of experience as a soccer coach and played professionally in a few leagues across Europe, North America, and the Caribbean. He excelled as a starting goalkeeper in Puerto Rico, Sweden and Czechia while also mentoring younger players and furthering team goals on and off the field in the surrounding communities. He also helped lead Ostavalls IF to their best finish in 95 years while leading the league statistically in goalkeeping.
Montanaro will join Head Coach Charlies Miles' staff for the upcoming 2024 fall season.
