ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team are once again serving as host of the NCAA Men's Hockey Quarterfinal round. This time, the Bulldogs are tasked with a familiar opponent in NCHA rival, St. Norbert College. The winner of the NCAA Quarterfinals will take a trip to Connecticut for the NCAA Division III Frozen Four.
 
Adrian and St. Norbert have faced each other three times already this season with the most recent contest coming in the NCHA Harris Cup Finals at the Arrington Ice Arena. The Bulldogs split with St. Norbert in the regular season on the road winning the opening game, 4-1, before falling 6-2 in game two. In the Harris Cup Finals, St. Norbert went on to shock Adrian and win 3-1 to grab the automatic qualifier.
 
Adrian earned an at-large bid to the tournament and defeated UW-Stevens Point, 4-0, while St. Norbert defeated St. Olaf, 5-2. All-time at home against St. Norbert, the Bulldogs hold a record of 10-5. Adrian ranks in the top-5 in multiple categories across the country. The Bulldogs rank third in points, fourth in assists, goals per game, and scoring margin, and fifth in goals allowed per game. St. Norbert ranks sixth in points and power play percentage while ranking fifth in assists, eighth in goals per game, and ninth in scoring margin.
 
Jaden Shields has been a leader for the Bulldogs as he scored a goal in four of the last five games. Mathew Rehding has recorded a point in his last seven games while Zachary Heintz has recorded a point in his last eight. Adrian will look to Dershahn Stewart in goal as he holds a 19-6-1 record with six shutouts this season after shutting out UW-Stevens Point in the First Round while recording 28 saves.
 
The Bulldogs and the Green Knights will battle for a trip to the Frozen Four. Adrian is hunting their third appearance in a row. Adrian and St. Norbert will drop the puck in the Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 16 at 7:00 PM EST at the Arrington Ice Arena. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by clicking HERE.
