ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College baseball team wrapped up its three-game round robin tournament at home on Sunday afternoon where they faced No. 6 Denison University. It was a battle to the end, but the No. 6 Big Red came away with a 5-3 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Denison jumped on the board first after taking advantage of an Adrian College error allowing two guys to score and take the lead, 2-0.
- In the bottom of the second, the Bulldogs loaded the bases for Jakob Charles who hit a ball up the middle bouncing off second base to tie the game 2-2.
- Denison added a run in the third on an RBI triple followed by their next run in the seventh which came unearned.
- Easton Rogers gave the Bulldogs a spark by launching a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh to trail 4-3.
- Denison grabbed a run in the eighth to lead 5-3 and win the game.
- The Bulldogs finished the afternoon with ten total hits with three of them coming from Joe Casale and two from Rogers.
- Jaxon Clark had a quality start on Sunday where he allowed just one earned run in 6.2 innings. Lincoln Lipinski pitched 2.1 innings in relief where he allowed one run on two hits.

Adrian will travel to Heidelberg University on Wednesday, March 20 to face the Student Princes in a non-conference contest. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
