CLARMONT, Calif. – The Adrian College baseball team wrapped up its trip to California on Monday afternoon with a single game against Pomona-Pitzer. The Bulldogs lead early in the game, but Pomona-Pitzer sparked a late comeback to defeat Adrian, 7-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pomona-Pitzer grabbed an early 1-0 lead scoring a run on an RBI single in the bottom of the first.
- The Bulldogs responded a took the lead in the second inning on a 2-run homer from Joe Casale.
- In the fifth inning, Adrian extended its lead to 4-1 after a 2-run home run from Edward Wagner.
- Pomona-Pitzer responded with a run in the sixth inning before adding three in the seventh and two in the eighth to win 7-4.
