ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's lacrosse team hosted Kalamazoo College for their final game of the 2024 season. The Bulldogs lost to the Hornets, 19-2.
In the first quarter of action the Hornets got out to a hot start by scoring five goals to Adrian's zero. Adrian scored two goals in the second quarter, one from
Mariana Miller and the other one from
Maggie Bean. Kalamazoo continued to stay on the same course as the first quarter scoring six more goals. Adrian was down 11-2 at the halftime break. Out of the halftime break Adrian was held scoreless the entire third quarter as Kalamazoo tallied another five goals to go up 16-2 with a quarter left to play. The Bulldogs battled in the fourth quarter, but once again was held scoreless. Kalamazoo totaled three more goals and would take the conference win, 19-2.
To lead Adrian was Miller and Bean each with a goal as
Zoe Weber recorded the only assist on the day.
Olivia Gedman had a team-high five ground balls as Weber and
Jessica Price added four each. Gedman also led the Bulldogs with seven caused turnovers and
Megan Steffey was in net and totaled five saves.
Adrian finished the season with an overall record of 5-9 and 1-6 record in the MIAA!
