BEREA, Ohio – The Adrian College baseball team moves on to the NCAA Regional Championship after defeating Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon, 12-1. The Bulldogs earned its 31^st win of the season and their 31^st NCAA Tournament victory in program history. In Adrian's last three NCAA Tournament appearances, the Bulldogs have made it to the Regional Championship.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Adrian took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second after Rolando Jimenez grounded out with a runner on third.
• In the third inning, David Kedrow singled in a run to put the Bulldogs ahead 2-0.
• The Bulldogs exploded for seven runs in the fourth inning to lead 9-0. Joe Casale started the scoring with an RBI double which was followed by a 2-RBI single from Ryan Davis, a 2-RBI double from Kedrow, and a 2-RBI single from Jimenez.
• Penn State Behrend got on the board in the top of the sixth to make it 9-1.
• Nic Bruder responded for Adrian in the bottom of the seventh where he extended the lead to 12-1 after his second home run of the Regional.
• Adrian collected 15 hits as a team on Saturday with three coming from Kedrow and two from Bruder, Casale, Davis, and Jimenez.
• Jaxon Clark earned his seventh win of the season after tossing 6.2 innings and allowing one run on four hits with six strikeouts.

UP NEXT
The Bulldogs advance to the NCAA Regional Championship slated for Sunday, May 19 at 11:00 AM at Baldwin Wallace. The Bulldogs will play the winner of Catholic and Penn State Behrend. Adrian will need to win one game to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals while their opponent will need to win twice.
