ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College Athletic Director, Craig Rainey, announced the hiring of Kenneth Beatty as head coach of the Adrian College eSports program. Beatty returns to Adrian College after graduating in 2012 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English with a focus in writing.
Beatty has been around gaming since he was eight years old and proceeds to gain experience in multiple games and consoles. Beatty has competed in open-world games in addition to first person shooter games, and sports games.
The Adrian College eSports program will continue to participate in a wide variety of game modes and will continue to add teams. One of the games that the Adrian College eSports program will look to add is the recently released College Football 25.
During the 2023-24 season the eSports program competed in Call of Duty, Super Smash Bros, Rocket League, Rainbow 6: Seige, NBA 2K, Madden, Overwatch, Fortnite, Valorant, Apex Legends, League of Legends, Mortal Kombat, and Counter Strike.
"I'm incredibly excited to be back in Adrian," Beatty said. "It's a great day to be a Bulldog!"
Coach Beatty will begin his coaching responsibilities immediately where he will begin to plan for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
